Here are the 10 Valuable Lessons From Meditations By Marcus Aurelius

  1. Reject your sense of injury, and the injury itself disappears.
  2. You have power over your mind — not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.
  3. Do not waste what remains of your life in speculating about your neighbors. Anything that distracts you from fidelity to the Ruler within you — means a loss of opportunity for some other task.
  4. Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth.
  5. Waste no more time arguing about what a good man should be. Be one.
  6. It is not death that a man should fear, but he should fear never beginning to live.
  7. Our life is what our thoughts make it.
  8. The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane.
  9. The best revenge is not to be like your enemy.
